Short BIO

I have been a bachelor's degree in "Natural and Environmental Sciences" with a thesis about the reconstruction of the paleoenvironment of Cervalces latifrons, and a master's degree in "Ecology and Nature Conservation" with a thesis about the application of loop analysis to an ecological network of a small protected area. Both at University of Parma.

I am currently a PhD student at University of Trieste and National Institute of Oceanography and Applied Geophysics (OGS), and I am involved in the construction and analysis of plankton food web with Monte Carlo simulation approaches. In particular, I am trying to develop new methods for obtaining quantitative networks using semi-quantitative data.

Role in AtlantECO

Within AtlantECO, I am developing an approach that allows to obtain an ensemble of valid quantitative models starting from semi-quantitative data.

My research is part of the WP5 with tasks to develop cutting edge network analysis methods and to provide indicators of ecosystems stability, sensitivity and health to stressors and drivers.
